In the center of the national side (obverse) of the coin is the outline of Lithuania. The state borders are encircled by a stylized barbed barrier, symbolizing the concept of holistic defense encompassing the entire society. At the same time, the image of a hedgehog conveys both the openness and fragility of free societies, which must be defended against external threats by all possible means. In the center of the obverse is the inscription "Lietuva" (Lithuania), the year of issue 2025, the logo of the manufacturer UAB “Lietuvos monetų kalykla” (Lithuanian Mint), and 12 EU stars arranged in a circle. Lithuania is depicted as a hedgehog, always ready to defend itself in the face of external threats.
