The Croatian National Bank, in collaboration with the Croatian Mint, has issued the “Dražen Petrović” silver coin weighing two ounces (62.206 grams). This silver collector coin, with a denomination of 6 euros, has been minted to the highest Proof quality. Made of 999.9/1000 pure silver, the coin is an excellent gift for special occasions. The silver coin is issued in a limited series of 2,000 pieces and is presented in a box accompanied by a certificate signed by the Governor of the Croatian National Bank.
To honour Dražen Petrović’s 60th birthday, this collector coin highlights the image and legacy of Croatia’s basketball virtuoso, interpreted on the coin by the talented Croatian sculptor Nikola Vudrag. The reverse of the coin features an artistic depiction of a basketball in the hoop – the most powerful symbol of Dražen’s success on the court, while the obverse portrays a basketball action scene with Dražen, an athlete admired by fans in Croatia and worldwide.
