Quokkas are kangaroo-like marsupials mostly found in the southwestern region of Western Australia, especially on Rottnest Island – an idyllic location 18 kilometers off the coast of Perth. About the size of domestic cats, these furry quokkas are extremely friendly animals, blessed with a cute, smiley appearance that has made them a popular subject for social media "selfies."
