The reverse of the coin features a boat with a wing-shaped sail, the Lithuanian tricolor, and a musical fragment of the National Anthem. The inscription NEPRIKLAUSOMYBĖS ATKŪRIMAS 25 (Restoration of Independence 25) is written in a semicircle.
The obverse of the coin displays a stylized Vytis, with LIETUVA inscribed at the top, the coin's denomination of 5 € on the left, and the year of issue 2015 at the bottom. The logo of UAB Lietuvos monetų kalykla is also stamped on the obverse.
