The obverse of the coin shows the profiles of Charles de Gaulle in the foreground and Winston Churchill in the background, both dressed in military uniform. Their names are shown above their profiles. The French and British flags are shown in color with the words RF in the French flag and 80 years in the British flag referring to the 80 years of Free France which was founded in London.
The reverse of the coins features France and Great Britain with a common background to highlight their alliance during the Second World War. The words "1941-2021 ANNIVERSARY OFFREE FRANCE" are stamped on the Lorraine Cross, the symbol of Free France,and include the year of issue.
