The gold European coin was given a nominal value of €12.5. The material of the coin is a precious alloy of 999 gold. The weight of pure metal is 1.25 grams. The coin with a diameter of 14 millimeters was issued in the amount of 2,500 pieces according to the collection quality standard of Proof minting.

 

On the obverse side of the gold coin of Europe is a lion next to the tablets, which are inscribed in Dutch and French: "Constitution of Belgium 1831". The issuing country is minted along the circumference in three official state languages. There is also an imprint of the oldest mint of the Netherlands and the stamp of the Belgian minzmeister Ingrid van Herzele. The denomination "12 ½ EURO" is engraved at the bottom of the coin.

 

The reverse was designed by renowned computer engineer, medalist and artist Luc Luycx. In the center of the coin, he placed a faceted diamond against a background depicting a diagram of its facets. The inscriptions on the coin announce: the issue date "2021" and the name "Antwerp City of Diamonds".
