The obverse is depicted: Queen Elizabeth II profile, the nominal value of the coin, the mintage year, the weight and fineness of gold a country.

The reverse of the coin depicts Thor wielding his hammer, wearing his belt and gripping the fang of the serpent Jormungand. Also included in the design is a goat’s head, lightning and the inscription THOR, as well as The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

To capture the depth and detail of the design, each coin is meticulously struck in high relief to a rimless format and features an antique finish which gives the coin an aged effect.
