The coin's reverse central color image depicts the Charge of the Light Brigade, as painted by English artist Richard Caton Woodville. To the right is a frosted cameo proof rendition of a Cossack soldier. Beneath the painting is a frosted cameo rendition of Lord Cardigan leading the Charge of the Light Brigade. To the left one can find the Perth Mint's "P" mint mark. The legend reads THE BATTLE OF BALAKLAVA 1854.
