On 16 May at 13:00, the Bank of Estonia (Eesti Pank) presents a collectible silver coin in the Pärnu Museum dedicated to the 200th birthday of Johan Voldemar Jannsen, who was the leader of the Estonian national movement and journalist, as well as the author of the famous Estonian anthem.
The silver collectible coin was designed by Heino Prunsvelt.
The coins were minted at the Polish mint (Mennica Polska SA).
The obverse depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Estonia. The name of the country - "EESTI VABARIIK" and the year of issue "2019" are minted around the circumference.
The reverse features a stylized portrait of Johan Voldemar Jannsen. The inscription is minted along the circumference - "JOHANN VOLDEMAR JANNSEN 200", on the left is the face value - "12€". At the bottom of the line from the anthem is Mu isamaa, mu õnn ja rõõm (Fatherland, my happiness and my joy).
