This series of coins features France seen through the design of famous fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. This offer features the second of two €50 coins delivered in a pouch and an exclusive collector's box.
The series presents individual designs for cities, provinces and regions - 24 in total - all seen through the eyes of renowned French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Two uncolorized 50€ silver coins, two colorized 50€ silver coins and a 200€ gold coin featuring the strong French symbols complete the series.
Two colorized 50-euro coin feature the Gallic rooster wearing a colored Breton top - in hand-applied blue, white and red resin - or dancing with a corset-wearing hen.
Obverse: Features the face value surrounded by two branches, one oak and one laurel, that create the Euro symbol. The entire obverse design is framed in a hexagonal design representing the shape of France.
Reverse: Depicts a hen and a rooster at the 14th of July ball. The rooster wears a marinière and the hen wears a corset, iconic of the fashion designer. They are dancing under the Eiffel Tower for the National Day.
