The coin of "Historical and Architectural Monuments of Lithuania" series.
The reverse of the coin features the hill-forts of Kernavė, which was the political, administrative and defensive centre of Lithuania in the 13th–14th centuries. Surrounding this are the inscription KERNAVĖ and UNESCO PASAULIO PAVELDAS (UNESCO World Heritage).
The obverse of the coin features an ancient Lithuanian coin depicting the Vytis, from the end of the 14th c. It is surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (Lithuania), denomination (50 litas), year of issue (2005), and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.
