Obverse of the coin shows the Liberty girl (called Lady Liberty) profile, mintage year and 13 stars. The latter, located very close to the edge of the coin symbolizes the 13 American colonies. Girls hair adorned with a crown with the words "Freedom".
The reverse shows an eagle with outspread wings and with the olive branch in the beak - a classic symbol of peace. In addition, the coin was minted with the bundle of arrows symbolizes military valor. It also includes the American colonies symbolizing the star. Reverse bears the legend "In God we trust" and "Strength in unity" (Latin E Pluribus Unum).
