The obverse of the coin carries an image of the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Lithuania (Vytis) in the centre. The inscriptions LIETUVA, 2012 and 50 LITŲ (50 Litas) are arranged in a semicircle around it. The obverse of the coin bears an extract from Dionizas Poška's work Peasant of Samogitia and Lithuania. Also featured on the coin is the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.
The reverse of the coin pictures Dionizas Poška's stylised "Baublys". The inscriptions DIONIZO POŠKOS BAUBLIAI and 200 are arranged in a circle. The reverse of the coin bears an extract from Dionizas Poška's work Peasant of Samogitia and Lithuania.
